Brenda Smith is the Distance and Document Delivery Librarian at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and a member of the BCOER. For the past year, she has been working with faculty who are creating open textbooks and using OERs in their courses. TRU is active with BCcampus’ Open Textbook initiative and is a founding partner in the Open Educational Resources University (OERu). TRU actively promotes using OERs in face-to-face and open learning (distance) courses.
